Here is a layout using lots of photos
Sometimes I pick just one photo for my layout to capture the entire memory but when we celebrated Rachel’s 21st birthday I had too many photos to choose from and decided to use lots on the layout!
The photos also have lots of different colours in them. Looking through my patterned paper the Bird Ballad set jumped out at me as the perfect colours to compliment the photos. I picked out Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Pool Party and Old Olive. Don’t you love Stampin’ Up’s colour co-ordination it makes colour matching so easy!
I tried it the layout initially on Whisper White but found it looked a bit stark. In the end I went with an Early Espresso base with pops of Whisper White.
The Titles
Did you spot the retired Number dies for the 21? I couldn’t part with them as they are such a favourite! To make them sparkle I added a row of rhinestones. The “birthday” is from the Well Written dies (sorry if you are bored of seeing them)! I cut it twice in Pool Party and So Saffron to create a shadow.
The only bit of stamping on this layout is the “st” for 21st. It is from the Family Party stamp set. I know this set is going to be really useful!
However, the title I’m really proud of is the date. The font is from the Well Written dies but I’m sure you know we don’t have all the months in that set. I cut the word friend and you to make June. I doctored the Y to make it into a J then used the U, N and E. It is a little bit fiddly but fine-tip glue makes it all manageable. I worked out there are only a couple of letters missing when you look at all the words in the Well Written dies so you can in fact make most words.
Embellishments and journaling
It is was a really special evening and we were definitely feeling the love so hearts felt the perfect embellishment. I cut a bunch using the Be Mine stitched dies and played with their placement before settling on the design above. To echo the rhinestones on the 21 I added a rhinestone to each of the hearts.
My journaling is on a Stitched Rectangle die mounted on the next size up.
This layout came together really easily. I hope it inspires you to scrapbook! Please comment if you have any questions.
