Choose your photos then use this simple layout to highlight them
Sorting through some older photos this sequence jumped out at me! We were at Legoland for a family day out and Emily kept running around in circles, having a brilliant time! Rachel stood watching with such a great expression on her face!
They aren’t the best photos ever but still I wanted to scrap them. So really I felt I could choose any patterned paper I wanted. I chose All My Love and picked out the Lovely Lipstick and Crumb Cake colours.
The block of patterned paper – Crumb Cake is 6 1/2″ by 12″ and the layered piece is 6″ by 12″.
Here’s a closer look
It is a simple design to focus on the cute photos but I tried to use as many of the gorgeous patterns from the paper as possible! In the top left hand corner and bottom right I’ve punch some 1″ circles. After sticking them lightly to the paper I punched holes with my paper piercer to allow me to stitch them. I used a double piece of white thread and back stitch.
As I didn’t have a circle template large enough for the big circle under the title I traced around a cereal bowl – it is about 6″ in diameter.
The title is die cut with the Large Letter dies and then raised on dimensionals. As it still wasn’t having the impact I wanted I added pearls to make it pop.
Don’t forget your journaling!
The journaling piece is cut from Whisper White and the top is punched with the Spiral Punch (retired) add interest with some patterned paper circles. To help me keep my writing straight I added some faint lines with my Sahara Sand marker.
Et voila, a gorgeous layout but simple and quite quick to create. I’d love to see what you create.
