Sometimes a simple card works best especially accompanied by a chocolate treat!
I’m joining in with Kylie’s International Blog Highlights this month and the theme is encouragement. I’d really appreciate your vote so I can hop with her later in the month. How it works is we share our cards now and everyone votes and those that are popular are invited to be part of Kylie’s Blog hop at the end of April. As all good politicians say, “Please vote for me”. I hope you like the card! Here is the link to vote.
The theme for the hop is encouragement. Quite often I find the Stampin’ Up! sentiments a bit over the top – in the UK we aren’t quite as ready to share our feelings on a card front! However, I do think it is really important to remember to send cards of encouragement as well as birthdays and anniversaries. My eldest daughter has recently been completing her dissertation. I know she has appreciated the cards I’ve sent to her to keep her going (or maybe it was the chocolate also enclosed that really hit the spot!). This sentiment said it all for me!
Bloom by Bloom stamp set – gorgeous flower images
The set I pulled out to use is called Bloom by Bloom and has some beautiful floral images. To make the biggest impact I decided to just use Blueberry Bushel ink with a mount of Poppy Parade.
Incredible like you – perfect sentiments!
The sentiment is from another stamp set called Incredible like you. As you might have spotted I can’t stop using the Rectangle Stitched dies – they don’t seem to ever leave my desk!
Some flowers from the Bitty Blooms punch pack and a couple of punched leaves highlight it. I used the end of my paper piercer pushed into the middle of the flower on my stampin’ mat to give dimension to the flower before add a pearl to the centre and a glue dot to the back!
I hope you like (or even love the card in a totally non- British way) and will choose to vote here
