Last Saturday was spent stampin’ and making lots and lots of cards! I love preparing for the my all-day events and making treats for the attendees. I hope they feel spoilt from the moment they arrive to when they leave – hopefully inspired and with a great batch of cards to send to their friends and family.
After a cup of tea or coffee and maybe a quick bite of to eat the day starts. Your kit is all in a named bag and the materials for each card are labelled to help. You have full instructions and of course I’m there to help. You choose the pace of your day and whether to you want to make everything or keep a project back for later or assemble the cards at home.
Each table has the supplies you need for a different card and you move around the room to make the projects.
As you make four of each card design it is helpful to have a choice of sentiments. This card using the Dandelion wishes is just gorgeous with the white heat embossing. Who doesn’t love heat embossing? It is just magical as it melts!
To make this card cut a piece of Highland Heather cardstock 13.3 cm by 9 cm, Gray Granite cardstock 12.8 cm by 8.5 cm and a piece of Basic Gray cardstock at 12.3 by 8 cm. The card base is made from Stampin’ Up thick whisper white. Use versamark to stamp the dandelion image 3 times on the piece of Basic Gray. Stamp a sentiment in Versamark on a piece of scrap Basic Gray. Heat emboss both the image and the sentiment with white embossing powder. Use a 2″ punch for the sentiment and mount on Highland Heather punched with the Starburst punch. Add a flower from the Bitty Punch pack and highlight it with a sequin. And there you go – a beautiful and versatile card for so many occasions! I hope you enjoy making it.
