I love giving people mini albums. They are the perfect gift – fun to make and such a treat to receive. They also use lots of patterned paper which is so satisfying. I love buying beautiful patterned paper but love using it even more! I know some people like to keep it and stroke it but I like to use it! The design of this album is versatile so works for lots of different occasions – a quick celebration for a birth, birthday, holiday, or a place to share favourite recipes.
The album finished size is 5 3/4″ by 8″. The base is made from a piece of 12″ paper with an additional flap on the right. It closes with magnets which always feels super professional. Inside you have a pocket on the left with space for larger photos and a cardstock waterfall on the right.
The front is simply decorated with some stamping and HAPPY from the Well Written dies. There are also some of the matching Needlepoint Nook buttons sprinkled around. As well as the magnets the album ties shut with Petal Pink variegated ribbon. To present the album and keep it safe, it fits in a pizza style box. I couldn’t resist using more of the ribbon!
Last week I ran a private class for a lovely group of six ladies who all made this album. Each one chose different patterned paper to suit their album use and preferences. It was great to see it in so many different colour ways. The class takes 2 1/2 hours and I love to run it with you and your friends. The costs is £30 per person with a minimum of 5 people. Get in touch so we can find a date.
If you’d like a kit to make this album on your own please email me. There are full written instructions. To make the album you need a paper trimmer and/or scoreboard. You could use different stamps to decorate the cover depending on what you already own.
