I’ve called these treats sliders as the chocolate slides in and out using the Baker’s twine. However, these treats are so cute that they could be used as a table decoration, stocking filling, cracker gifts or just a treat! Christmas is a time of socialising, and there is always that problem of knowing what to bring to someone’s house, these are a perfect alternative to wine or a box of quality streets (other chocolates are available!) as not only are they different, but the fact that they are handmade make them extra special! – and trust me they are just as popular with the adults as with the children! Plus, you get the fun of making them and they are pretty easy to make so it can be a group activity with your children. Decorating a simple chocolate turns it into a gift and they are so cute! There also is a teddy bear and an Eskimo (please excuse the fact I call the Eskimo a snowman in the video!) in the set but I’ve not really used them myself.
The instructions are in the video below. Here are the important measurements you need:
Cut your Poppy Parade cardstock to 5.9 cm by 9 cm. Score on the long side at 2, 2.9, 5.9 and 6.8 cm
You’ll also need the Cookie Cutter Stamp set and matching punch. Isn’t it brilliant that one punch can work with the Santa and the Reindeer!
Here is the link to the Youtube video with the instructions. I really hope you enjoy making them and I’m sure you will get lots of compliments on how cute they are!
