Are you like me, a compulsive Pinterest addict? There are so many pretty things to look at! I saw some of these cute hot chocolate cups on Pinterest and knew I wanted to make them with Stampin’ Up! products. They are perfect as gifts for young and old – teachers, friends, class mates, stocking fillers.
Here is a quick preview of the project.
Firstly, cover your cup with the beautiful Dashing Along designer series paper. I made a paper template from printing paper and traced it onto patterned paper. A piece of Tear & Tape on the vertical end secures it to the cup and another piece for the overlap. I bought my cups and lids from nextdaycoffee.co.uk.
To make the holder take an A4 piece of Garden Green cardstock, you can make 3 from one piece. Cut to 11” by 2 ¾”. Score on the long side at 4”, 6 ½”, 7 ½” and 10”. Punch a 2” circle out as shown below.
Add a piece of patterned paper measuring 2 ½ “ by 2 ¾ “ as shown on the picture to the front and back.
Fold on all the score lines, add a piece of Tear & Tape to the 1” tab (next to the circle punch out) to stick to back piece forming the holder.
Emboss your sentiment in white embossing powder on a 1” piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Use the banner punch to flag the ends. Pop up on two dimensionals.
Decorate your lid with a 1 ¼” circle, which you can punch from the 2” circle off cut. Add a Cherry Cobbler star from the Wood Crate Framelits. Fill your cup with a hot chocolate sachet, some chocolate money and a matching candy cane. Enjoy!
